Andy recently raked out & lime mortar re-pointed the exterior of our house. It's a "random rubble" sandstone building that's over 300 years old & presented many unusual challenges. He did a lovely job & the building looks so much better! He always communicated well, worked through some awful weather to meet our deadline & on completion left the site immaculate. Having contacted several stonemasons and not finding anyone willing to build a solid stone wall l, by chance, found Andy.  Andy started the job very promptly and six weeks later we have the finished wall 20 meters by 1 meter in black limestone, the result - fantastic. Three years on from the above review. I contacted Andy to build another wall to replace a wooden fence.  Andy has built me a stone and block wall, exactly to my specifications and while he was here he re-pointed a section of a very old wall.  Thanks Andy, another lovely job, carried out within the time scale as promised.  Although we love your work and you are a pleasure to deal with, I think we are 'all walled up' now. Andy is very professional and knowledgeable about his trade, and clearly takes pride in his work. He was quick to respond from our initial query about a quote and always turned up when he said he would; he kept us in the loop at all times. He gave us an accurate estimate and kept us well informed as the work progressed. He is very easy to talk to and very good at explaining what needs to be done and how he’ll go about doing the work. Andy is skilled and genuine. Delivered precisely what he said he would on time and on budget. Sourced stone, materials and equipment, and managed all deliveries. Would recommend without any doubt. Andrew was so professional throughout the job and kept us informed throughout.  Job entailed removing a 7ft stone lintel from an interior fireplace and installing an oak beam. A big job with some significant challenges but completed to plan.
